Conservas Portugal Norte
Conservas Portugal Norte is a family business founded in 1912, with a long tradition in the production and sale of canned fish, namely sardines, tuna and mackerel, among others, in a variety of sauces and presentations. Its manufacturing unit is located in Matosinhos – Portugal, very close to the fishing port, which guarantees a daily supply of fresh fish.
Susplus is proud to partner with Conservas Portugal Norte, a historic Portuguese seafood canning company, to pilot a next-generation software solution tailored to the climate transition of the agri-food industry. This collaboration marks a crucial step in bringing digital innovation and climate accountability to a traditional yet globally relevant sector.
Running throughout 2025, the pilot project focuses on enabling Conservas Portugal Norte to monitor and improve their environmental performance through:
Life Cycle Assessment of operations
Emissions tracking, consolidation, and reporting
Development of Smart-IDs
Regulatory compliance support
Climate risk analysis and mitigation planning
Design of carbon reduction and offsetting strategies
Our goal is to co-create a digital tool that empowers industrial users to meet emerging sustainability demands while keeping operational excellence. The pilot includes collaborative development, user training, and comprehensive performance reporting—laying the groundwork for scalable impact.
This initiative is part of Susplus’ broader mission: to build digital infrastructure for the climate economy. By embedding intelligence and transparency into supply chains, we help companies turn environmental challenges into regenerative opportunities.
